How is Commerce different from Billing?

Commerce owns what you sell and how it reaches the buyer — the catalog, the merchandising structure, the order. Billing owns the financial lifecycle after the sale: quotes, invoices, recurring billing cycles, refunds, credits, and disputes. A sale starts in Commerce; the cash flow around it lives in Billing.

Where does Checkout fit in?

Commerce prepares the pre-payment checkout — line items, pricing, tax, delivery, and customer context — and converts a completed checkout into an order. Getme Checkout is the payment-collection surface that sits on top of that flow. Commerce holds the catalog and order truth; Checkout takes the payment.

How is this different from Selling Plans?

Selling Plans is the offer-configuration surface inside Commerce — subscription plans, prepaid cycles, bundles, free trials. Commerce is the host layer where those offers live alongside one-off products and services; Billing is where the recurring cycles actually invoice and collect each period.

Can I sell services and products from the same catalog?

Yes. Products, services, packages, and add-ons share the same catalog surface, the same variants and metafields model, and the same checkout — a buyer can put a physical product and a bookable service in the same cart without a second system.
