Set up Getme Payments
Review connected account, verification, payout, payment method, currency, and tax setup requirements.
Getme Payments setup should be treated as a reviewable connected-account workflow, not a one-click guarantee. A business may need to provide legal details, business type, ownership or representative information, bank details, tax context, and payment-method information before payment or payout capabilities can become active.
What setup depends on
- Merchant country, business type, and required verification information.
- Connected account status, requested capabilities, and provider review requirements.
- Payout bank details, payout country, settlement currency, and bank verification.
- Payment method eligibility by account, customer location, currency, and transaction context.
- Configured tax settings and merchant responsibility for registration, filing, and remittance decisions.
Setup fields to review
| Setup field | What it controls | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Connected account | The Stripe-backed account that holds merchant verification, country, business type, and capability status. | source-backed, account-dependent |
| Business verification | Legal business details, representative or owner information, tax identifiers, and documents that may be required for review. | source-backed, requirements-dependent |
| Payment capability | Capabilities such as card payments can stay inactive until required information is complete and provider review passes. | source-backed, capability-dependent |
| Transfers and payouts | Transfers or payouts can require active transfer capability, bank details, country support, currency support, and account review. | source-backed, payout-dependent |
| Payment methods | Cards, wallets, bank debits, or local methods can require eligibility, capability status, customer context, and payment-flow support. | source-backed, eligibility-dependent |
| Currencies and markets | Country, presentment currency, settlement currency, payout currency, and market coverage must match the supported provider path. | source-backed, country/currency-dependent |
| Tax settings | Configured tax behavior can apply in supported workflows, but registration, filing, remittance, and tax decisions remain the merchant’s responsibility. | merchant-responsibility review |
Before marking setup ready
- Confirm that required business and bank information is complete.
- Check charges, transfers, and relevant payment-method capabilities before enabling checkout or invoice payments.
- Review supported countries, currencies, payment methods, payout path, and tax settings together.
- Check for account-review, missing-information, restricted-capability, or bank-verification messages.
- Use needs-review when any setup field depends on provider eligibility or Getme configuration that has not been confirmed.
Do not tell a merchant that payments, payouts, local methods, broad currency coverage, or tax calculation are ready until the connected account, required capabilities, bank details, country/currency path, and configured tax settings have been reviewed.
