Import customers or contacts into Getme CRM

Customer and contact imports are useful when you are moving an existing list into CRM. Import availability, required fields, preview behavior, and duplicate handling can depend on the account setup and the specific workflow available in Getme.

Before importing

• Confirm that the import workflow is available for your account.
• Clean the source file before uploading it, including obvious blank rows or test records.
• Keep one customer or contact per row.
• Use clear column names such as email, first name, last name, phone, company, or tags.
• Keep a backup of the original source file before making changes.

Prepare the source file

CSV files usually work best when each column has one purpose. Split combined fields where possible, such as separating first name and last name, and check that email addresses, phone numbers, country, company, and tags use consistent formatting.

Map fields carefully

During import, some fields may need manual mapping to Getme CRM fields. Review the import preview before saving. If a column does not have a matching field, leave it unmapped or contact support before importing important records.

Review duplicates and updates

Duplicates may need review before import. Matching behavior can depend on the available workflow and the fields in your file. Do not assume the preview will find or merge every duplicate; check it carefully and spot-check records after saving.

Check imported records

1. Import a small sample first when possible.
2. Open several imported records and confirm key fields landed in the expected places.
3. Check tags, company names, phone numbers, and consent or communication fields where relevant.
4. Review any records that were skipped, updated, or flagged by the import workflow.
5. Contact support if records do not appear as expected.
