Domain stuck on 'pending verification'
Five checks for a stalled domain connection.
How long is too long?
If the domain has been pending for more than 4 hours, something is misconfigured. Most domains verify within 30 minutes.
Did I add the right records?
Open Settings → Domains and compare the records Getme shows to what is at your registrar. The values must match exactly — even an extra dot or trailing space breaks verification.
Are there old records I should remove?
Yes. If the domain previously pointed somewhere else, delete the old A or CNAME records. Two records on the same name conflict and DNS resolution becomes random.
Is Cloudflare proxy on?
Cloudflare orange-cloud (proxy on) breaks the verification handshake. Set the record to grey-cloud (DNS only) until the domain shows Connected, then you can turn proxy back on.
Should I delete and re-add?
Only as a last resort. Removing the domain forces Getme to re-issue the verification challenge. Use it after the four other checks above.
