Local payment methods
Review Canada-first local payment method candidates before advertising them to customers.
Local payment methods are not only a checkout setting. They often depend on customer location, merchant location, currency, mandate collection, refund behavior, dispute handling, and whether the provider method is enabled for the connected account.
Canada-first local method candidates

Before enabling a local method
- Check merchant country, customer country, and currency together.
- Review whether the connected account has the required capability.
- Confirm mandate, refund, dispute, and recurring-payment behavior where relevant.
- Keep customer-facing copy generic until Getme configuration is reviewed.
Do not treat a provider-supported local method as enabled in Getme until configuration, account capability, customer context, and payment flow are reviewed.
