Reset your Getme account password
Recover account access with a reset email, a one-use link, and a new password that meets Getme security requirements.
Use password reset when you forgot your password or need to replace it before signing in again. The reset flow sends an email to the account address when an active Getme admin account matches the request. For security, the confirmation screen does not reveal whether the email address matched a Getme account.
Start the password reset
- Open the Getme sign-in page.
- Choose Forgot password or the password reset option.
- Enter the email address used for the Getme account.
- Submit the request and check that email inbox for reset instructions.
Use the reset email
The reset email contains a secure link for the password reset page. Older admin reset links can redirect into the current auth reset flow. Open the link from the same email account and choose a new password before the link expires.
Link expiry and one-use behavior
Password reset links expire after two hours and are marked used after a successful reset. If the link is expired, already used, or invalid, start a new password reset request from the sign-in page instead of reusing the old email.
Password requirements
- Use at least 12 characters.
- Include at least three character groups, such as lowercase letters, uppercase letters, numbers, or symbols.
- Enter the same password in the new password and confirmation fields.
- Use a password you do not reuse for other accounts.
After the password is changed
When the reset is complete, Getme updates the password and closes active sessions for that admin account. Sign in again with the new password. If two-factor authentication is enabled, you may still need your authenticator, backup code, or another approved recovery step.
If the email does not arrive
- Check the inbox, spam, junk, and filtered mail folders for the account email address.
- Confirm that the email address is the one used for the Getme account.
- Wait a short time before requesting another link so you do not confuse old and new reset emails.
- Contact support from the account email if you still cannot receive the message.
If you lost email or two-factor access
If you no longer control the account email or cannot complete two-factor authentication, support may need to verify account ownership before access can be restored. Do not share passwords or reset links in chat, screenshots, or forwarded messages.
