Add a product to your catalog
Create a product with product details, media, price, inventory, shipping, and publishing fields.
A published product can appear on customer-facing storefront surfaces when the product, category, inventory, and storefront settings are ready. Draft or archived products should be reviewed before expecting customers to see them.
Create the product
- Open Commerce → Products → + Add product.
- In Basic Information, enter the product name, short description, and description.
- In Media, add product images or other supported media.
- In Price, review price, compare-at price, cost per item, unit price, charge tax, and tax category where relevant.
- In Inventory, review track inventory, stock quantity, low-stock threshold, SKU, barcode, and sell-when-out-of-stock settings.
- In Shipping, review physical product, package, product weight, origin, and HS code where relevant.
Add variants (optional)
Use Variants to keep option definitions such as size or color. The product form notes that per-variant pricing, inventory, shipping, and customs should be managed from the variants page, so review those details separately before publishing.
Review SEO, organization, and publishing
Review Metafields and Search Engine Listing before publishing. Standard Product Category can feed category-specific fields and Google Product Category mapping context. Product metafields may require saving the product first. Search Engine Listing can show a preview, page title, meta description, URL handle, and keywords. Treat it as product search context; search engines may still choose their own timing and display.
