Create a selling plan group
Set up a subscription offer group with plan options, linked resources, and publishing details.
Selling Plans lets you define subscription offer groups for products and services. A plan group can hold customer-facing copy, one or more plan options, linked resources, publishing status, search listing details, and internal context for review.
Open Selling Plans
- Open Commerce from the main navigation.
- Choose Selling Plans from the Commerce menu.
- Review the 7-day activity tiles for selling plan changes, plans created, plans updated, and plans deleted when you need recent activity context.
- Use search or the All statuses filter to find an existing plan group before creating a new one.
- Choose New Plan Group when you are ready to create a new offer group.
Fill in group details
In Group Details, enter the Name, Short Description, and Description. The short description is storefront copy customers can understand quickly. The rich description can include formatted text, highlights, links, and customer-facing details for the plan group.
- Name is required and identifies the plan group in admin and storefront contexts.
- Short Description should explain the offer at a glance.
- Description is the longer customer-facing explanation for the plan group.
Add plan options
Use the Plans section to add options inside the group, such as customer-facing choices like Monthly or Annual when those options fit the offer. The Overview panel shows the group type, plan option count, linked resources count, and mode while you build.
Review status and publishing
New groups start as Draft so they can be reviewed before going live. Use the Status panel to control the group status, and review the Publishing panel to confirm whether the group is published to any channel.
Add search listing and organization details
Use Search Engine Listing to review how the selling plan group page could appear in search, including the page title, description, and handle preview. Use Organization to set Sort Order when the group needs a specific position in admin or storefront listings.
Use AI context for internal notes
AI Context is hidden from customers. Use it for internal notes that help assistants and smart search understand the plan group. Keep customer-facing details in the visible name, short description, description, and plan options.
Review linked resources
Before publishing, check the resources connected to the group. Linked resources can include products or services that should use the offer group. If a group has no linked resources, it may not appear where customers expect to choose it.
